Gun Boxes
With a background in furniture design and manufacture, we enjoy working with each customer to create a personalised gun box according to individual need and specification. Created from the finest solid hardwood, including American black walnut, English oak, ash and many more, they are designed to perfectly fit the dimensions of the boot of any vehicle. Built with drawers in any configuration and with any contents the design is restricted only by your boot space and our imagination. The boxes are finished to the highest quality and can include leather and feather lining, humidors, cleaning kits and even refrigeration.

The Production Process
Design
We will work with you to create a personalised gun box or boot chest, according to your need and specification. As well as carrying the gun, cartridges and other shooting accessories, many customers opt for a luxury hospitality unit to house drinks, glasses, cigars etc. These can also be fitted with a bespoke mini-fridge to keep drinks cool. Drawer configuration can be top to bottom or side by side, with hidden internal drawers where space allows.
Construction
All the mortise and tenon joints and dovetails are crafted by hand. Solid timber is used where the design allows, meaning the boxes are tough and durable and often weigh well over 60kg. The construction phase generally takes 6 to 8 weeks, depending on other orders in progress.
Finishes
Several coats of oil are applied to the wood, including on the inside dividers, before being polished to bring out the natural knots and markings. Lacquer can also be added for extra durability. Each gun box comes with a washable quilted cover to protect the top. This can be made in a fabric colour of your choice and embroidered with company logos or family crests etc. Alternatively, a leather cover can also be commissioned, if preferred. A number of different internal finishes are also available for added luxury, including leather drawer linings to match a vehicle interior or feather linings from our plumassiere partner, High Bird Shooting, for the gun barrel section. Glasses or goblets can be provided for the hospitality tray, which can also be made to fit existing family glassware.
Ordering
To place an order or make an enquiry please contact here for a quote. If there’s a particular style, wood, or design you like, please do let me know. I am happy to discuss all your requirements and extras before agreeing a final cost, according to your budget. Once agreed, I take measurements of your vehicle and create a mock-up of your boot space to ensure it fits perfectly.
Orders take between 6 to 12 weeks to complete, depending on finish and lining.
